Written reports
After every viewing, every offer and every filing you get a written summary: what happened, what the interested party said, and what comes next. Everything is on record, so you are not relying on remembering a phone call.
I am Claudia Velazco, a real estate agent with RE/MAX Eleva in Maracaibo, Zulia. I handle the purchase and sale of houses, apartments, offices and commercial units across Maracaibo and Zulia state, in English and in Spanish, with one clear specialty: Venezuelans living abroad who need someone they can trust on the ground.
Before real estate I trained and worked as an industrial engineer, and spent years leading teams, processes and decisions in the private sector. That is where my way of working comes from: analyse before offering an opinion, anticipate the problem instead of reacting to it, and do what you said you would do.
Every transaction is handled by me personally, from the first conversation to the handover of keys. I do not delegate the follow up or pass you from one person to another.
Background
Industrial engineering teaches you to look at a whole system before touching any single part: where the bottleneck sits, what depends on what, what happens downstream when one thing slips. Applied to a property transaction, that means checking the paperwork before negotiating, working out the real timeline of a registry, and knowing what could stall a sale before it does.
My years in the private sector taught me something less technical and more important: your word counts, and a client would rather hear bad news on time than good news that was invented. That is the foundation of how I work today at RE/MAX Eleva.
Working in both English and Spanish lets me serve a family in Maracaibo, a Venezuelan in Madrid or Houston, and a foreign investor looking at Venezuela for the first time, with the same level of detail.
Method
Distance is not the problem. Not knowing what is happening is the problem. So remote work here rests on three concrete things.
After every viewing, every offer and every filing you get a written summary: what happened, what the interested party said, and what comes next. Everything is on record, so you are not relying on remembering a phone call.
I film the whole property and hold live video calls so you can see whatever you want to see, including the parts that never photograph well: the building facade, the state of the common areas, the noise from the street.
I review the legal file, coordinate with notaries and registries, and explain each document in language that makes sense. If a power of attorney is needed, I tell you exactly what it must say and where to sign it.
Where I work
My base and my specialty is Maracaibo, Zulia. I know its neighbourhoods, its real prices, and the differences that never make it into a listing: how the water arrives, whether the building has its own generator, whether fibre reaches the apartment. I also work across the rest of Zulia state.
When the transaction sits in another Venezuelan city, I still guide you, drawing on the RE/MAX network and coordinating with a trusted local colleague. I always tell you when I am doing the work myself and when the operational side is being handled by another agent in the network. That clarity is part of the service.
If you want to see what is available right now, there are the published properties, and if you are on the other side of the transaction, here is how I sell a property and how I value one.
Contact
Message me on WhatsApp if you want a quick answer, or email if you would rather have everything in writing from the start. I reply personally within 24 hours.
If you are in another time zone, tell me the hours that suit you and we will arrange the call around them.
Let us talk
You do not need to have made up your mind before writing to me. Most of my clients start with a loose question: what is my place worth, does it make sense to sell now, what could I buy with what I have saved. From there we take it slowly.
Selling? Start with how a sale works. Buying? Look through the available properties.
